Emberfall is a classic turn-based RPG in rich 16-bit pixel art, with a real story, a world to explore, and an ending worth reaching. Play it offline, anywhere.
Three nights ago, the Great Beacon at the edge of the world went out, and the Dusk began to spread: a grey fog where grief takes shape and walks. On the same night, a single living ember fell into a village well. Its name is Lumen. It is the last spark of the Beacon, and it is dying.
You are Wren, a lamplighter's apprentice. Carry Lumen to the Spire, relighting the five great flames on the way, and gather friends who each have something to face.
A story in five chapters
The Forge in the Old Mine. A drowned lighthouse in the fog. A frozen monastery where no one may sleep. A burning library that remembers everything. And the Spire itself. About five hours of story, warm, funny and a little melancholy.
Classic turn-based battles
Front-view battles in the style of the 16-bit greats: Attack, Skill, Item, Defend. Five heroes, each with their own skills: fire and healing, a blacksmith's hammer, a smuggler's knives, a healer's prayers and a scholar's spells. Auto battle and 2× speed whenever you want them.
Real puzzles
Slide across ice from rock to rock, bend a beam of light through mirrors, ring bells in the right order, push bookcases into place and light a grid of lamps. Every puzzle is fair, and none of them plays itself.
Bosses with a story
Every boss is someone's grief given shape. You don't just beat them. You bring them home.
Explore at your own pace
Villages, marshes, sea caves, snowfields and deserts, with shops, inns, hidden chests and better gear to find. Autosave everywhere, and ember shrines to heal and save.
